Boy killed in marriage revelry firing

Mirzapur, May 7 (UNI) Marriage revelry turned into a tragedy at Baharchak village here, when a boy died of bullet wounds in firing by some inebriated 'baraatis' during 'dwarchar'.

Ashok (10) and Bablu (5) were at the marriage ceremony late last night, when the groom's drunk relatives started firing to celebrate the occasion, police today said.

Two bullets hit Ashok and Bablu, while the accused absconded.

The boys were rushed to the district hospital, where Ashok succumbed this morning. Investigations were on.
