Bank Manager swindles Rs 5.19 lakh
Berhampur, May 7 (UNI) A case has been registered against former Branch Manager of the Union Bank of India. Giri Market branch J M Subudhi for allegedly swindling Rs 5.19 lakh from the accounts of the customers.
The case was registered at the Berhampur Town police station yesterday on the basis of an FIR, filed by the Bank against Mr Sibudhi.
Police said the Bank Manager, who swindled the amount during 2004, was suspended from the Bank later after verification of the accounts by special audit parties.
According to the audit reports, Mr Subudhi had swindled the money in phases from the accounts of the customers and deposited it in his account.
