90 Haryana students get admission abroad

Chandigarh May 7 (UNI) In response to the Haryana Overseas Placement Assistance Bureau campaign, provisional admission has been given to at least 90 aspirants for various courses in KES College, Cyprus (Europe), Labour and Employment Minister Birender Singh today said.

The seminars conducted at Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Kaithal, Hisar and Rohtak districts were attended by a large number of applicants and 18 candidates have already deposited the enrollment fees, Mr Birender Singh said.

In view of the good response to the seminars, the Placement Bureau now planned to conduct such seminars by inviting the various institutes from United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Denmark and New Zealand.

The minister said that those interested for overseas employment opportunities and academic courses were extnded help by the Overseas Placement Assistance Bureau in connection with passport, visa, immigration rules and regulation The Bureau also cooperated with international organisations or other institutes having objectives wholly or partly similar, the Minister added.

He said that the Parliamentary Secretary, Labour and Employment Department, Haryana Sharda Rathore in a meeting with the owners of Fun and Food village, New Delhi had asked them to provide vacancy details for their 120-acre Amusement Park in Dubai.

They had sent about 75 various types of vacancies to the Bureau for about 1000 manpower, which they would fill up through the Overseas Placement Bureau, he said.
