112 held for selling banned lottery tickets in TN

Chennai, May 7 (UNI) The Crime Branch CID Police today arrested 112 lottery agents, stockists and dealers from all over Tamil Nadu for selling banned lottery tickets.

Police said 59 teams engaged in the day-long raid seized 14 lakh lottery tickets worth about Rs three crore. They also seized Rs four lakh in cash besides computers, xerox machines, and other equipment from them.

All the arrested were remanded in judicial custody, police said.
