Yediyurappa joins Kumaraswamy in village stay

Srirampura (Karnataka), May 6 (UNI) In an attempt to put an end to the rumours about difference of opinion existed with the Coalition partners, Karnataka Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister will make a overnight stay in a tiny village at Sriramapura, 7 km from here tonight.

This was for the first time Mr B S Yediyurappa joining hands with the Chief Minister in village stay to know the problems faced by the people living in the villages.

A warm traditional welcome is awaiting to receive them when they are expected to reach in the night for a overnight stay in the house of a Mr Venkatesh, a small farmer, who owns two acres of dry land.

It was interesting to note that Mr Yediyurappa joined Chief Minister who is celebrating his 25th village stay. Both would stay in a house belonging to a sub sect of Veerashaiva community Sudugadu Siddaru, most backward class in the state which has a population of 506 people belonging to 99 families with 110 houses in the village.

They were mostly depended on agriculture, petty business and their traditional profession being astrology. There are about 2000 people in the State belonging to this community.

Mr Lakshminaryana a CISF, police constable of Vishakapatnam was the only government servant in the village. Almost all youth in the village were drop out from High School. The entire village wore a festive look. All routes to the village was completely repair with proper roads.

Speaking to newsmen at Melapura Mr Kumaraswamy said that his village stay would send a positive message to the people. The village stay would continue irrespective of criticism from the opposition.

During their stay both would listen to the public grievances.
