Woman PI takes temporary charge of police station

Vadodara, May 4 (UNI) For the first time in the city's history a women police inspector has been given a temporary charge of a police station.

Ms M D Parmar of the Nari Suraksha Cell has been posted today to J P Road police station as the incumbent officer P J Trivedi has gone on 20 days leave.

Speaking to UNI, Police Commissioner P C Thakur said there are five more police stations where there are no police inspectors at present. These vacancies have to be filled, he added.
