Radio kashmir exceeds target of commercial revenue
Srinagar, May 4 (UNI) The Radio Kashmir, Srinagar and its Vividh Bharti Service have earned a record commercial revenue of Rs 1.26 crore during financial year 2006-07 against the target of Rs 1.24 crore fixed by Prasar Bharti.
The Current Affairs Programme - Shaharbeen earned commercial revenue to the tune of Rs 30.17 lakh while morning Summery of Newspapers -'Surkhiyaan' earned a little over Rs 16 lakhs.
News bulletins in aggregate have earned revenue of Rs 35 lakhs.
Vividh Bharti of Radio Kashmir earned nearly Rs 16 lakh a press information bureau official said here today.
Jammu Station of AIR earned commercial revenue of Rs 89.38 lakhs while its Vividh Bharti Service Rs 9.67 lakhs, he said.
All other stations including Leh, Kargil, Poonch and Kathua have realised much less commercial revenue as compared to the fixed target of Rs 9.63 lakhs per station.
The total target of commercial earnings for the stations of AIR working in the state was nearly Rs 2.50 crore.
