Rabri demands all party meet on law and order situation

Patna, May 4 (UNI) Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today demanded that the state government convene an all party meeting to discuss the recent spurt in criminal activities in the state.

In a release here, Rabri Devi, the Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly, alleged that the rise in kidnapping and murder cases had created a ''fear psychosis'' among the people.

''The killing of a contractor in Patna, involvement of a security guard of the Chief Minister in kidnapping and murder case and other such incidents have exposed the hollow claims of the Nitish Kumar government on better law and order situation in the state, '' she said adding the state intelligence had abjectly failed in discharging their duties.

She ridiculed Mr Kumar and his Cabinet colleagues for claiming improvement in law and order situation in the state and said crimes were on an upward swing.
