Notorious criminal's wife alleges fake encounter

Jaipur, May 4 (UNI) Notorious criminal Dara Singh's wife Sushila has demanded a probe into his death, saying it was a case of fake encounter.

Wife Sushila and brother Shishram told mediapersons here today that police killed Dara Singh somewhere else and dumped his body at Mansarovar, a middle-class locality, making up the entire story of encounter.

Just before the encounter, the police had declared an award of Rs 25,000 on finding Dara Singh, they said.

Dara Singh's family members had urged a lower court here to take cognizance of the matter. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Khagendra Sharma has already directed the police to lodge a case in the matter by May 7.
