HCL Tech to up investments in Aus, New Zealand
New Delhi, May 4: To expand its business in the Australian continent, country's leading global IT services provider HCL Technologies Ltd will continue to invest in the region through its subsidiaries in Australia and New Zealand.
The company is expecting the growth from the government sector to contribute to its overall market position, supporting leadership in the government, banking and finance, retail and consumer goods, telecommunications, media and entertainment, manufacturing, life sciences and utilities sectors.
''We will apply its expertise and leadership in the global IT sector to deliver world-class services in the government sector and participate in the public-private partnerships in the region,'' HCL Asia Pacific President Somnath Mallick said today.
He said the government sector is an expanding and important part of the company's business in Asia Pacific region.
''We have been experiencing over 80 per cent growth year-on-year in the region,'' Mr Mallick said.
Recently, HCL opened its subsidiary's new office in Canberra. It will augment 600 plus staff of HCL Australia Services Pty Ltd and HCL (New Zealand) Ltd, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of HCL, who will support customers across Australia and New Zealand, and will join its network of offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington, a statement said.
HCL Australia Services Pty Ltd is a government endorsed supplier and is already working with a number of government agencies in this region.
