Haryana to give licence to all plywood industries
Chandigarh, May 4 (UNI) The Haryana Government has decided to provide the licence to all plywood industries in the state by the end of this month.
Stating this, Minister of State for Forests and Tourism Kiran Choudhry today said Haryana would become the first state in the country to provide such licences.
The Minister said the Forest Department had received 5,086 applications for setting up the plywood industries in the state.
She said with the setting up of these industries ample opportunities of employment could be generated for youth.
The State government had already announced new Forest policy under which the target for 10 per cent increase in the forest area had been fixed by 2010.
She said the government was also giving special impetus to promote agro based industries in the state. Besides, a number of steps had also been taken to ensure maximum survival of plantation.
