Lucknow, May 4(UNI) Election Commission has ordered start of the counting of votes of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections from 0700hrs on May 11.

State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anuj Kumar Bishnoi said here today that the time of counting would be started one hour early due to the prevailing hot weather.

He said all results are expected to be announced by 1400 hrs with trends coming within 30 minutes of the start of the counting.

There will be 70 counting centres, one in each district, with seperate counting halls for each assembly constituency in the district.

Every hall will have 14 counting tables and at a time each table will take up counting of one booth.

''It will take around 10 minutes in each table to complete counting of votes polled in one booth including tabulation which will be done manually'', he said.

Mr Bishnoi said a new software 'Genesis' has been developed through which NIC will send the counting details and results to the Election Commission.

Central observers deputed in the constituencies have been authorised by the EC to declare the results, if there is no dispute.

Videography of the counting process would also be done as per the norms, he added.
