BMC pays homage to former mayor Leon D'Souza

Mumbai, May 4 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today paid homage to former Mumbai mayor Leon D'Souza who passed away recently.

Leon D'Souza died on April 27 this year after a prolonged illness. During his tenure as a corporator, he had served as chairman of various BMC committees.

He was the Mumbai mayor in 1967-68. Thereafter, he was elected an MLA and, later, an MP.
