Azamgarh, May 4 (UNI) Samajwadi Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today asserted that all efforts of the opposition to dethrone his party would turn futile as there is a strong SP undercurrent in the state.

Addressing a poll meeting here, Mr Yadav said ''over the years, the mass of SP has increased. The Congress, BSP and BJP would be badly defeated in the ongoing UP assembly poll as people are with us.'' ''I fulfilled each and every promise made three years back and would continue to do so if we retain power of UP,'' he pro.

Tongue-lashing BJP for playing the communal card in the country, the CM observed ''it raises the Ram temple issue only when elections are near, but people have understood everything and would not be misguided any more.'' Fulminating BSP chief Mayawati, the former Defence minister alleged ''she is true to no one. She has insulted people of every caste, whether Brahmins, Vaishyas or Muslims. She is money hungry and would sell UP, if came to power.'' Mr Yadav urged people to vote for SP, if they wanted development in UP.
