Punjab government shifts 4 senior IAS officers

Chandigarh, May 3 (UNI) Senior IAS officer D S Jaspal was shifted for the third time in a month by the Punjab government and appointed Principal Secretary, Transport in place of Ravinder Singh Sandhu.

Mr Jaspal who was Principal Secretary, Information and Public Relations when the SAD-BJP government took over in March, was shifted out of this high profile department early last month to the Health department. However last week he was transfered from the Health department to the department of Cultural Affairs, Archives, Archaeology and Museums and now he has been shifted to the Transport department.

An official release today stated that Ravinderpal Singh Sandhu will now be the Principal Secretary, Defence Welfare Services against a vacant post. Mr D S Kahla, the Principal Secretary, Finance will hold the additional charges of Cultural Affairs, Archives, Archaeology and Museums.

Mr Narinderjit Singh, Secretary Social Security, Development of Women and Children will hold additional charge of the department for welfare of SCs and BCs.
