K'taka Government committed to ban lottery: Minister

Bangalore, May 3 (UNI) Karnataka Government was committed to make the State a lottery free State even, if necessary, by bringing an ordinance, Minister for Lottery and Small Savings Ramachandragowda said today.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that the government would make every effort to get vacated the stay order given by High Court against the ban and if not succeeded it would approach the Divisional bench and the Supreme Court.

"Legal experts would be consulted to find ways to bring ban even by issuing an ordinance", he added.

Mr Ramachandregowda said that he was committed to make the State a lottery free zone and is ready to quit power on this issue if he failed.
