Govt declares holiday for Karaikal on May 30 due to festival
Puducherry, May 3(UNI) The Puducherry administration had declared a holiday for Karaikal district of the Union Territory on May 30, in view of a temple festival there.
Making a suo-motu statement in the assembly today, Chief Minister N Rangasamy said the festival 'Aayiram Kaaliyamman' in Karaikal region falls once in five years and a holiday was declared, considering the demand of the legislators.
