DYFI criticises removal of hoardings

Chennai, May 3 (UNI) CPI(M)-affiliated Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) today strongly criticised the removal of hoardings put up in connection with their four-day 8th all India Conference to be held in various parts of the city on May 8.

Addressing a press conference here, DYFI All India President K N Balagopal and Conference reception committee secretary S Kannan alleged that the ruling DMK men had removed the DYFI billboards and installed their hoardings in connection with the celebrations to felicitate Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi for his golden jubilee in the state assembly.

The DYFI leaders pointed out that every political party had the right to put up their hoardings without disturbing others, but the ruling DMK was under the impression that they only have such rights.

This sort of attitude was highly condemnable, they said and appealed Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to take suitable action against those who removed the DYFI hoardings and also ensure that the hoardings were restored in the same place.
