CRPF jawan dieds after his weapon went off in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 3 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) driver constable Jagmohan Singh was killed when his service weapon went off accidently at Hazratbal today.
A CRPF spokesperson said driver constable Singh of 173 battalion was washing his hands after lunch when his carbine, hanging around his neck, went off accidently.
The bullet hit him in the neck and he being died before taken to a hospital.
Panic gripped the area and security forces and people ran for cover after hearing the gun shot.
Normalay returned only after it was learnt that the weapon went off accidently.
