Pranab to inaugurate Indo-US legal conf on May 4

New Delhi, May 2: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate a conference to discuss Indo-US bilateral issues such as mergers, aquisitions and taxation regimes of both the countries, to be held between May 4-6 here.

The three-day conference organised to discuss the bilateral legal issues and facilitate trade between India and the US will focus on issues like redressal of legal disputes in BPO, export, import, anti-money laundering, alternative dispute redressal and a host of other issue of bi-national importance.

The conference 'Business in and between India and US :legal and regulatory framework' will be organised by the Indo-American chambers of commerce (IACC) jointly with the centre for American and International Law and American law institute American bar association.

''As the relationship between India and US deepens to greater trade and investment between the two countries there should be better awareness and understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of each other's country,'' IACC Chairman (Legal Affairs) Lalit Bhasin said.

The traders and legal experts from both the countries will benefit fom this unique conference, he added.

The ten differnt sessions would highlight on legal aspects and address the whole gamut of legal and regulatory issues.
