Mirwaiz urges India to change ground situation in J
Srinagar, May 2 (UNI) Moderate Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today urged India to make tangible and positive changes in the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a public gathering at Qazigund, about 80 km from here, he said this would help in making the ongoing peace process between India and Pakistan meaningful and result-oriented.
Mr Mirwaiz said first such step toward a positive change would be to completely pull out troops from Jammu and Kashmir.
He reiterated the pledge of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to continue with their struggle till its logical end.
The Hurriyat chairman also called for inclusion of genuine representatives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the ongoing dialogue process, saying it was imperative for finding an amicable and lasting solution to the long-festering issue.
