Mumbai, May 2 (UNI) Maharashtra Energy Minister Dilip Walse Patil today denied that the industry would be asked to observe a two-day holiday in a week to tide over the power crisis in the state.

He told reporters here that the Secretary (Industries) and Secretary (Energy) will hold discussions with the industry representatives on how energy consumption by them could be reduced through various measures like captive power and conservation.

Mr Patil said MoUs would be signed with five Independent power producers (IPPs) to augment the power supply in the state.
