Haryana withdraws ban on promotional vacancies
Chandigarh, May 2 (UNI) The Haryana government today decided to withdraw the existing ban on filling up promotional vacancies.
''Such vacancies would henceforth be filled up according to the requirement within the sanctioned strength, an offical spokesman said today.
A ban was imposed on filling up the promotional posts up to 90 per cent of the cadre strength on August 26, 1996, as per the instructions issued by the state Finance Department The issue was reconsidered and the ban was withdrawn, the spokesman said.
However, he made it clear that the instructions of the Finance Department issued from time to time on other matters relating to economy in expenditure would continue to be effective as before.
A communication to this effect had been sent to all heads of departments, Registrar Punjab and Haryana high court, Commissioners of all four divisions, all Deputy Commissioners, all Chairpersons, Managing directors of boards, corporations, cooperative societies and government undertakings and also registrars of all universities in the state, he said.
