Dhumal demands judicial inquiry into Cong-BJP activists clash in HP
Hamirpur, May 2 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today demanded a judicial inquiry into the yesterday's clash between Congress and BJP activists at Kangra town, saying the law and order situation was going bad to worse.
Addressing a press conference here, he said a judicial inquiry should be ordered into the yesterday's bus accident and beating of BJP workers at Nagrota Bhagwana recently.
Mr Dhumal said Kangra administration was a puppet in hands of the Congress Government and was to be entirely blamed for all such happenings there.
Referring to the construction of the Macleodganj Bus Stand on built, operate and transfer (BOT) basis, he said the administration should clarify its position after the DC directed the authorities to raise the building to the ground.
He said since the present Congress Government came to power in the state, forest, land, employment, transport and education mafias were ruling the roast.
The mafias were thriving under the protection of the state government, while the common people were suffering the most, the BJP leader added.
