Dehra Dun, May 2 (UNI) Seeking to corner the BJP government in Uttarakhand, the state Congress today sought a CBI probe into the alleged involvement of its Cabinet Minister and some of the party leaders with a woman who was found dead in Delhi recently.

Pradesh Congress Committee chief Harish Rawat, while holding a demonstration at the Gandhi Park here, said the BJP government which always talked of morality should immediately seek resignation of the leaders concerned.

''However, we know it is not possible in BJP's rule.'' he said, reminding Congress leader and Cabinet minister in the N D Tiwari-led government Harak Singh Rawat had immediately resigned after allegation of sexually assaulting a woman was made against him.

He said School Education and Excise Minister Madan Kuashik, had no moral right to stay in office following the controversy.

''Kaushik has no moral right to remain in the State Cabinet till he is given a clean chit by the CBI,'' he said, adding the Congress would vehemently protest throughout the state till their demands were met.

Neelam, a divorcee, who was reported to have intimate relations with BJP leaders, was caught indulging in obscene activities with in a car with the two leaders. However, all three were released reportedly at the behest of Kaushik. Later, Neelam was reported to have committed suicide in Delhi.

Speculation was rife that Neelam had not committed suicide but had been murdered since she had started blackmailing the persons connected with her.

Meanwhile, Mr Kaushik had earlier in Haridwar, refuted the allegation calling it political vendetta.
