Bengal continues to reel under heat waves condition
Kolkata, May 2 (UNI) Heatwave conditions continued in most parts of West Bengal as mercury soared today.
The soaring temperature and high humidity has been keeping the people sweating profusely for past few days.
The maximum temperature today was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, and the minimum was 28 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, Met sources said.
The maximum relative humidity was pegged at 89 per cent while the minimum was 49 per cent.
Met officials, however, predicted a pleasant evening with partly cloudy sky and possibility of rain and thundershowers in the night.
Maximum temperature during the next 24 hours will be around 37 degrees Celsius.
