Shilpa Shetty is the most 'searched' personality on the net

Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who has been in the news after winning the controversial 'Big Brother' reality show in the UK and pecks on her cheeks by Richard Gere, is the most searched person on the internet.

According to a recent 'yahoo.com' database, Shilpa leads in the search of her name the world over, preceding names like Angelina Jolie, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Beyonce Knowles, Brad Pitt, Britney Spears, Carmen Electra, Drew Barrymore, Eva Longoria, Halle Berry, Harry Potter, Hilary Duff, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Lindsay Lohan, Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton and Tobey Maguire.

''Though Shilpa is not very net-savvy, she deserves all she's got and more,'' says her spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar. ''She's always been a trendsetter, but it's only after 'Big Brother' that people's perceptions have really changed.'' It is noteworthy that the actress has also been flooded with thousands of mails ever since she opened her e-mail account [email protected].

The actress, who debuted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 1993 in 'Baazigar', is at present looking forward to her upcoming releases 'Metro' and 'Apne'.
