Srinagar, May 1 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have unearthed a new phenomenon in the Valley whereby outsourcing of militants has come to the fore with the arrest of 13 ultras, including a woman, who were working for both the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and the Hizbul Mujahideen outfits.

Addressing a news conference here, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, S M Sahai said during investigations it was revealed that the outsourcing of militants has reached new dimensions.

''The nexus between the two banned militant outfits has also been exposed by their recent actions,'' he added.

Mr Sahai said police recently busted a Lashkar module by arresting 13 members, including a woman, of the Siddiq group working under the direct command of Pakistani militant Abu Tahir.

During investigations, he said the module of local militants was not only working for the Lashkar under Abu Tahir's command, but also executing different acts of militancy for the Hizb under the direction of its district commander Zahoor alias Firdous.

In the process, the module got paid not only by the LeT, but by the Hizb as well for executing their nefarious designs purely for pecuniary benefits, the IGP said.

Those arrested have been identified as Rafiqa, Tariq Ahmad alias Mamu alias Farhat, Abdul Rashid Janda alias Arshad, Tariq Ahmad Wani, Liyaqat Ahmad Mir, Jameel Ahmad Ganai, Mehraj-ud-din Kumar, Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Showkat Ahmad Ganai, Shabir Ahmad Tramboo, Feroz Ahmad Malik and Abdul Majid Rather.
