Mumbai Cong pays tributes to martyrs of Samyukta Mah movement

Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) On the occasion of 47th anniversary of the formation of Maharashtra State, Mumbai Congress today paid rich tributes to the 105 martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of Samyukta Maharashtra.

Social Justice Minister Chandrakant Handore and former Mayor Nirmala Samant-Prabhavalkar placed a wreath at the Hutatma Chowk in the memory of the martyrs. Mumbai Congress Vice President R R Singh unfurled the National Tricolour at the Mumbai Congress office.

MLA Annie Shekhar, Mumbai Congress Treasurer Amarjit Singh Manhas, General Secretary Ajit Sawant and other office bearers were prominent among those present on the occasion.
