Meeting reviews drinking water supply situation in Shimla
Shimla, May 1 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Irrigation and Public Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur today said 70 lakh gallons of water is being supplied in the town besides five water tankers distributing water to areas of water scarcity.
Directions have also been issued to the municipal authorities to prevent any misuse of water and take action against people those water tanks overflow, he said during a meeting called to review water situation in the town and other surrounding areas.
Mr Singh said several teams have also been formed in various wards of the town to ensure equitable distribution of water.
