Maharashtra Day: Bhujbal unfurls National Flag in Nashik
Nashik, May 1 (UNI) State PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, who is also the Nashik Guardian Minister, hoisted the National Tricolor here on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of Maharashtra's foundation.
The official function was held at the police parade grounds here and was attended by freedom fighters from the district, legislators Dr Vasant Pawar and Dr Sobha Bachhar, zilla parishad president Radhakisan Sonawane, mayor Vinayak Pande, divisional commissioner Dr Sanjay Chahande, district collector S Chokkalingam, special inspector general of police P K Jain, police commissioner Himanshu Roy, and other dignitaries and government officials.
Mr Bhujbal inspected a guard of honour on the occasion. He also felicitated meritorious police personnel, teachers, talathis and other employees.
Maharashtra Day functions were also held at the divisional commissioner's office and the district collectorate where Dr Chahande and Mr Chokkalingam hoisted the National Flag respectively.
