Honda Motors sales up 7.5pc to 4,891 cars in Apr'07

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Honda Siel Cars India Ltd (HSCI), today said its sales for April 2007 saw an increase of 7.5 per cent, with a total of 4,891 units as against 4,551 vehicles in the corresponding month last year.

The manufacturer of premium cars in India has also clocked a growth of 31.3 per cent with 22,912 units for the period January-April this year as compared to 17,444 units over the corresponding period last year.

During the month of April 2007, the company sold 2,916 units of City ZX model; 1,481 of Civic; 255 Accord, and 239 of CR-V.

HSCI has recently launched the all-new, third generation CR-V and new Accord in its portfolio.

The company's manufacturing unit at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, currently has a capacity of 50,000 cars annually.
