Court remands TRS MLA to police custody
Hyderabad, May 1 (UNI) A local court today remanded Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA K Lingaiah, who surrendered before the court on April 27 in connection with the fake passport and human trafficking cases, to police custody for eight days.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Latifur Rehman remanded the TRS MLA to police custody till May 8, following a petition filed by the Central Crime Station (CCS) for his police custody.
The court also permitted the police to conduct searches in his houses and ordered the police to produce him before the court on May 10.
A case was booked against Lingaiah for obtaining a fake passport for a Gujarati woman in the name of his wife.
