Cong alleges Togadia's hand in attack on Christian preacher
Jaipur, May 1 (UNI) Demanding a CBI probe into the attack on a Christian preacher here, the Congress today alleged Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadia's hand in the entire incident.
While speaking to reporters here today, state party chief Dr B D Kalla said the main accused Virendra Rana had spoken with Togadia during the attack on preacher Walter Massey at his home in Gijgarh Vihar on Sunday afternoon, which proves the later's role in the incident.
He demanded that Rana's mobile be seized and the call records probed to bring out the truth.
Dr Kalla added that the cases lodged against Togadia for Trishul Diksha in Ajmer during the Congress regime have been withdrawn in collusion with the BJP government and the VHP leader was bent on disturbing the communal harmony in the state.
The Congress leader charged that the police has lodged the current case under normal sections and thus tried to weaken an attempted murder case.
Speaking about the forced haircut of a Sikh school boy in the city, Dr Kalla said no action has been taken against the culprits in the 11 cases lodged against them.
