New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) Greece has asked India for the technology to tap wind energy.

The Greek request has come as a good business opportunity for Indian companies, Minister of State for Renewable Energy Vilas Muttemwar told reporters while coming back from a visit to Greece, on which he accompanied President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

Dr Kalam had returned from the visit to Greece on Saturday night.

The Minister said that a team of Indian experts will go to Greece while their team will visit India in preparation for the transfer of technology.

He said the visit to Greece has helped in widening the scientific and technological cooperation with the country.

During Dr Kalam's visit, India and Greece agreed to propel their trade to one billion euros by 2010, and signed two agreements.

One of the agreements related to 'Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments' aims at intensifying investment flows to the mutual benefit of both the countries and create a favourable condition for investors of both the countries.

The other agreement, relating to development of scientific and technological cooperation, envisages exchange of researchers and scientists, and undertaking joint research projects.

For implementing the agreements, a joint committee of the two countries would be constituted.
