Sugar prices decline on lack of demand

Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) Sugar prices declined today on lack of fresh demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.

Small and medium grades sugar fell by Rs 10 and Rs five per quintal respectively on thin buyng support.

Ex-mill small and medium grades eased by Rs 15 each per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,335/1,375, Medium grade: Rs 1,365/1,435, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,295/1,320, Medium grade: Rs 1,340/1,380.
