HP Cabinet approves empanelment of MRI centres

Shimla, Apr 28 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet today approved the empanelment of MRI centres having necessary infrastructural facilities to undertake tests for state government employees and pensioners, official sources today said.

The meeting, which was held with Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in the chair, decided to approve the empanelment of MRI centres for undertaking tests of employees and pensioners.

The sources said the Cabinet granted permission for the purchase of several equipments and instruments to be used by the state Animal Husbandry Department from outside the state in case of non-availability within the state after completing all codal formalities.

The meeting approved extension of the Nalagarh-Baddi-Barotiwala Special Area by including 124 hamlets along with Swarghat-Ropar road, the sources said.

The Cabinet approved the creation of one Irrigation and Public Health Division and six sub-divisions along with 32 posts of different categories for Shah Nehar Project.

The sources said it was decided to approve the opening of Town and Country Planning Office at Rohru, besides reserving two seats in MBBS course in medical colleges of the state for the wards of Tibetan Refugees.

It also approved Recruitment and Promotion Rules for the posts of District Adult Education Officer, Class-II (Non-Gazetted) in HP Elementary Education Department, Dispenser (Class-III, Non-Gazetted) for Government Pharmacy College, Rohru, Junior Engineer (Mechanical) in Irrigation and Public Health Department.
