Four of a family killed in car-truck collision

Jagadhary, Apr 28 (UNI) Four members of a family, including two women, were crushed to death when a truck rammed into their car early this morning at Kanaihya Sahib Chowk in adjoining Yamunanagar town.

The family was returning home after attending a marriage ceremony at Ladwa in neighbouring Kurukshetra district.

The deceased have been identified as Raman (35) who was driving the car, his wife Harshita (30), uncle Raj Kumar (50) and a relative Sulochana (55).

The truck driver ran away abandoning the vehicle, which was later seized by the police.

In another incident in Yamunanagar district, Numberdar Raghuvir Singh of Hargarh village, was crushed by a heavy vehicle while walking near Jodia Naka, early this morning.

Police have registered cases against unidentified drivers in both the incidents.
