Corporation Bank Q4 net up 18 pc at Rs 118.47 cr

New Delhi, Apr 28: Corporation Bank today posted an 18.2 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 118.47 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 100.27 crore during the same quarter a year ago.

Total income during Q4FY07 went up 36.27 per cent to stand at Rs 1,142.65 crore as against Rs 838.47 crore during Q4FY06.

The bank's board also recommended a final dividend of 50 per cent subject to approval of the shareholders. With this, the total dividend including the interim dividend of 40 per cent already paid, stood at 90 per cent at the end of the fiscal, a statement said.

The bank registered an increase of 20.62 per cent in its annual net profit at Rs 536.14 crore in comparison to Rs 444.46 crore in the last fiscal.

Total income during 2006-07 rose by 28.90 per cent at Rs 3,996.00 crore as against Rs 3,100.03 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.
