50 Senior IPS officers to attend Training on GSI based crime analysi

Bangalore, Apr 28 (UNI) A total of 50 senior IPS officers will be imparted the concepts of Geographic Information System (GIS) at a workshop organised by Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Centre (KSRSAC) here on April 30 and May One.

According to a release here, the GIS Based Crime analysis Reporting Engine (G-CARE) would help the planners and decision makers for a better scientific analysis and decision making. It would also help in easy data management and updating, analysing crime trends/patterns, relate crime data with socioeconomic condition and aid in better decision making.

A capacity building was one of the major objectives of the G-CARE program.

KSRSAC, an autonomous body under the aegis of State Department of Information Technology and Biotechnology, has been successfully catering to the requirements of the user community, including State and Central Government Departments.
