Woman prisoner dies in hospital

Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) A woman prisoner, who was admitted to Government Royapettah Hospital, died yesterday.

Police said the deceased Vasantha (69) was imprisoned in the Central Jail Tiruchirapalli in 1999 in connection with a murder case and was shifted to Puzhal Prison here recently.

As her health condition was deteriorating, she was admitted to the hospital two months ago.
