Bhubaneswar, Apr 27(UNI) WIPRO and ARICENT Technology have proposed to set up Global Training Centre near Puri-Konark marine drive while Dhirubhai Ambani Group has decided to establish a Development Centre on the outskirts of the capital city.

Briefing newsmen after the Information Technology Task force committee meeting, State Information and Technology Minister S N Patra said while the WIPRO will set up the centre over 100 acres of land to employ 3000 IT professional,the ARICENT Technology had approached for 30 acres of land to set up its Global Centre.

The Dhirubhai Ambani Group, Mr Patra said, would establish its Development Centre on a 40 acre of land near Khurda on the outskirt of the Capital city.

The state government, the Minister said, has decided to establish a second Info City to accommodate large number of IT companies who have shown keen interest to set up their centre in Orissa.

He said the Khurda Collector has been asked to identify 671 acres of the land for the Second Info City and handover the land to the state owned Infrastructure Development Corporation(IDCO) within the next 15 days.

The IDCO was also asked to ensure the facilities for road, water and power to the 2nd Info City and submit a proposal for SEZ status to the Info City.
