Only BJP can deal with SP goons: Rajnath

Jaunpur, Apr 27 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today asserted that only his party is capable of dealing toughly with the ''mafias and goons of the ruling Samajwadi Party'' in Uttar Pradesh.

''Unfortunately, chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav is always encouraging crime. Instead of Uttar Pradesh, he has turned up into a land of goonda raj,'' Mr Singh said addressing a poll meeting here.

In the absence of good governance, UP cannot revive its golden past, he observed.

Terming the BSP-SP as 'private companies,' the BJP leader said, the 'UP CM Muyalam Singh Yadav and BSP chief Mayawati are fighting the ongoing state assembly poll without any agenda. ''They are only busy announcing to jail each other after coming to power.'' ''Mayawati, who always used derogatory words for the upper castes, is now talking of 'equality'. She is a political humbug. She first sold Taj Corridor and is now busy selling BSP tickets. If voted to power, she will sell UP,'' he warned.

''How can someone, who has sold her self-respect lead the state?,'' he asked.
