Modi govt to set up one lakh women committees in Guj
Mehsana, (Gujarat), Apr 27 (UNI) Chief Minister Narendra Modi today expressed his government's resolve to set up one lakh women committees in the State.
''Our government has started the revolutionary scheme of granting property rights to the women of the families for which it has scrapped the stamp duty charges for registration of documents. Due to this, three lakh women in the State have become property owners,'' said the Chief Minister, while addressing the 10th women convention at Chanasma in Mehsana district.
Mr Modi said his government was launching 'Chiranjiwi scheme' for safe motherhood and 'Balbhog scheme' for providing midday meal to children studying in Anganwadi or State-run kindergarten.
Mr Modi also declared State-level prizes of Rs 51,000 and district level price of Rs 21,000 for woman workers of Anganwadi.
