Jaya alleges arms supply from TN for LTTE Airforce

Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today alleged that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) could build a Airforce, thanks to the free supply of arms and military materials from Tamil Nadu.

In a strongly worded statement, the leader of the Oppositon, said apart from arms and amunition, food items, medicines and other essentials were being freely supplied to the outlawed organisation from the coastal areas of the state.

Alleging deterioration of law and order in the state, she said ''There is no guarantee for the fishermen to return in safe after venturing out for fishing and only during the DMK regime, a terrorist outfit in the neighbouring country, has gained strengh to make air stirkes,'' she said.

Accusing the Director General of Police (DGP) of being a ''silent spectator'', she warned that the police personnel and government officials would face serious consequences, if they indulged in anti-people activities.

Ms Jayalalithaa said thanks to an ''inert'' Congress-led government at the centre and the state governor that the DMK government could govern freely, but the general public are ultimate sufferers.
