Film producer K C Bokadia seeks anticipatory bail

Patna, Apr 27 (UNI) Noted film producer K C Bokadia today filed anticipatory bail petition before the district and sessions court of Patna in connection with a case of criminal breach of trust.

The anticipatory bail petition was filed before district and sessions judge Mandhata Singh on behalf of K C Bokadia, his brother Rajesh Bokadia and son Amit Bokadia, proprietor of Sangeeta pictures.

According to the complaint case filed by Vishnu Kamalia, Director of Anant International Private Limited of Patna, Rs 14 lakh was paid to the Bokadias for getting rights of distributorship of a film in 2000.

The complainant said neither was the film released nor the money returned to him on demand. After cognizance, summons were issued against Bokadias by a local lower court on May 15, 2006.

It was said in the bail petition that money was returned to the complainant on October 18, 2006.

The petition would be heard tomorrow.
