Ajmer, Apr 26 (UNI) Another controversy is brewing in Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti dargah with its diwan and Khwaja's descendent alleging misappropriation of Rs 200 crore fund by khadims.

Dargah diwan Sajjadanashin Saiyad Jainul Abedin Ali has alleged that khadims, who help devotees perform ziyarat at the shrine, take the donation amount for personal use and indulge in luxuries.

Abedin Ali has objected to the workings of the committee formed to look after the welfare of the shrine and demanded that it be dismantled immediately.

He said the dargah receives donations running into crores, gold, silver, foreign exchange and costly chadars from ziyareens (devotees) every year which amounts to Rs 200 crore.

The devotees hope that the donated amount would be used for the upkeep of the shrine. But instead the fund is used by Khadims on their own personal luxuries, alleged Abedin Ali.

He added that Khadims and their families comprising at least 5,000 people are leading a lavish life because of shrine donations and are not doing anything to earn a living.
