Tibetans protest demanding release of Panchena Lama by China
Mysore, Apr 25 (UNI) Hundreds of Tibetans, under the banner of Regional Tibetan Youth Congress and Tibetan Women's Association, today took out a protest march demanding release of youngest political prisoner Panchen Lama by China.
The agitators marched through main streets as part of the 18th Birth day of the 11th Panchen Lama, who was held captive by China since 1995. They urged the United Nations Human Rights Commission and world leaders to use their good offices for his release.
The Tibetans from settlement areas in Bylakoppe, Hunsur, Kollegal and other places who participated later submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
