Militant wounds brother-in-law, LeT activist nabbed in Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 25 (UNI) A militant shot at and wounded his brother- in-law following a family dispute while security forces apprehended a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) activist in the Kashmir valley since last evening, an official spokesman said today.
A local militant, Riyaz Ahmed Bhat, shot at and wounded his sister's husband Hilal Ahmed Sheikh when he visited his in-laws house at Shamaswari in the downtown city today, he added.
The injured has been hospitalised.
Family dispute was said to be the cause behind the firing, the spokesman said, adding a case has been registered in this regard.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the ultra.
He said troops of 32 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) apprehended an upper ground worker of the LeT militant outfit at Takiya Panzalla in north Kashmir's Baramulla district last evening.
The spokesman said 25 rounds of Pika ammunition and a hand grenade were seized from the possession of the activist, identified as Shabir Ahmad Sheikh.
