Bodies of teenaged couple found in car; police rules out murder
Lucknow, Apr 25 (UNI) Bodies of two missing teenagers -- a boy and a girl -- were found under mysterious circumstances here this morning even as police were looking for a domestic help who has been missing since the incident came to light.
Hours after suspecting murder, preliminary investigations suggested the deaths were accidental in nature and were caused by asphyxiation. ''The car had central locking and the air conditioner was on...it is possible that they were trapped inside,'' said ASP Umesh Srivastava.
Though the police were awaiting the post-mortem report, a private news channel claimed injury marks were found on the body of the girl during examination.
The bodies were found in the boy's car inside a garage, under Sadatganj police station in the old city area. Both the bodies were found naked and the police recovered bottles of soft drinks, packets of chips along with condoms from the car.
The girl's father Pradeep Agarwal, a jeweller, had lodged complaint with police last night, fearing kidnapping of his daughter Charu (16).
The boy Sameer (19) was also stated to be missing since yesterday, said his father Jamil, a footwear dealer.
The two were students of a reputed school and were taking tuitorials at the same institute in the Hazratganj area.
Jamil and his eldest son were being interrogated by the police.
Investigators were also on a lookout for Salim, who works as a domestic help at the Aggarwal household and was close to Sameer.
''He is missing as of now,'' said a police official.
